Upstox is one of India's leading discount brokers with a feature-rich trading platform. Importing your Upstox trades into ArthaLearn's trading journal helps you track performance, identify patterns, and improve your strategy. This guide walks you through the CSV import process.
The Upstox CSV typically includes columns for trade date, symbol, exchange, segment, buy/sell indicator, quantity, price, and order reference.
ArthaLearn automatically maps Upstox CSV columns to the correct fields. Here is the standard mapping:
| Upstox Column | ArthaLearn Field |
|---|---|
| Symbol / Instrument | Instrument |
| Trade Date | Date |
| Transaction Type | Side (Buy/Sell) |
| Quantity | Quantity |
| Trade Price | Entry/Exit Price |
| Exchange | Exchange (NSE/BSE) |
ArthaLearn supports DD-MM-YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, and MM/DD/YYYY formats. If your dates are not recognized, check that the CSV was not modified after download.
If key columns like symbol or price are empty, those rows will be flagged. Review the flagged rows in the preview screen and decide whether to skip or correct them.
Large files (10,000+ rows) may take longer to process. If the upload times out, split the file into smaller chunks and import them separately.
Log in to Upstox Pro web or backoffice. Go to Portfolio > Trade History or Reports > Trade Book. Select your date range and download the report as CSV.
Currently, ArthaLearn supports Upstox import via CSV upload. API-based auto-sync for Upstox is on the roadmap and will be available in a future update.
Upstox allows custom date ranges. For large ranges, download in batches (e.g., monthly). ArthaLearn handles multiple file imports without creating duplicates.
Yes. ArthaLearn imports equity, futures, and options trades from Upstox. The system detects the instrument type from the CSV automatically.
